1. ABOUT TITOP ISLAND

Titop Island is located on Ha Long Bay, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, about 7-8 km southeast of Bai Chay tourist port. Ti Top Island has a crescent-shaped sandy beach. The sand is washed by the tide in four seasons. In the late 19th century, the island was called Cat Nang. On November 22, 1962, President Ho Chi Minh and Soviet cosmonaut Gierman Ti Top visited the island. To mark the anniversary of that trip, President Ho Chi Minh named the island Ti Top Island – an island with a steep, sloping shore with a flat, white sand right at the foot.

At the foot of the island is a moon-shaped beach embracing the island, the sand beach is small but very airy and quiet, the water is clean and clear in four seasons. Cruise ships often stop here for tourists to come ashore to swim or climb up the top of the mountain to enjoy the view from above. Currently at this beach, there is a bar and rental service of swimsuits, swimming buoys, freshwater baths. There is a service for renting water motorbikes, parachutes. Freshwater is transported from the mainland by the Bay Management Board.

Today Titop Island is a favorite stopover attracting many tourists to swim, conquer Titop Peak to admire the panoramic view of Ha Long Bay from above. If tourists want to visit and stop here, just book overnight tours on the bay with 2-day or 3-day itineraries or book Ha Long tours departing daily in 6 hours.
